Dog Show
"Barkin' at the Fairgrounds"
Tuesday, August 9, 8:00 p.m. in the Show Barn - Sponsored by Appalachian Veterinary Clinic
1. Ribbons are awarded for 1st-5th places.
2. Entries will be accepted from 5:30 - 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August
9th. You may pre-enter your dog by calling Angie Sutton at (865)
414-8935 or Ruth Murchison at (865) 414-7565, or April Hux at (423)
465-7692. DOG SHOW BEGINS AT 8:00 P.M.
3. Dogs with championship points are not permitted.
4. A dog can be entered in only one lot, except for entries in classes
10-14.
5. Dogs are to be kept on a leash at all times while on the fairgrounds.
6. Classes may be broken down into sub-classes for judging at the
discretion of the judges.
7. RABIES CERTIFICATES AND PARVO PAPERS ARE REQUIRED AND MUST ACCOMPANY EACH ANIMAL AT THE TIME OF ENTRY...NO EXCEPTIONS!
8. No dogs under 8 months of age are permitted due to health precautions.
Proof of age is required.
9. NO ENTRY FEE REQUIRED! Contestants will pay normal gate admission.

02) Pet Dogs (shown by children 10-15 years of age).
03) Pet Dogs (shown by adults).
04) Sporting Breeds (Brittanys, Pointers, Setters, Spaniels, etc.)
05) Hound Breeds (Afghans, Bloodhounds, Blue Ticks, Dachshunds,
Whippets, etc.)
06) Terrier Breeds (Airedale, Border, Bull, Schnauzers, West Hightland,
Rat, etc.)
07) Toy Breeds (Chihuahuas, Italian Greyhounds, Pugs, Maltese, Shih tzu,
Yorkshire, etc.)
08) Non-Sporting Breeds (American Eskimo, Chows, Dalmations, Bulldogs,
Poodles, etc.)
09) Working/Herding Breeds (Akitas, Boxers, Doberman, Great Pyrenees,
German Shepherd, Collies, Border Collies, Australian Cattle Dogs, etc.)
10) Best Trained/ Most Obedient
11) Prettiest Dog
12) Dog that looks most like its owner
13) Best Dressed Dog
14) Best Trick by Dog
15) Best Female (all female 1st place winners will compete).
16) Best Male (all male 1st place winners will compete).
